About Me

Hi I’m Lauren, welcome to my website! I'm a lover of all things nature, especially the sea and anything that involves being in the sun!

I discovered yoga in 2011 and have been teaching since 2016. Before teaching I worked as a nurse in Brighton which was challenging and amazing all at the same time! At the start, yoga and mindfulness were great ways of helping me unwind after work, and also brought balance to my slightly hectic lifestyle at the time! These amazing practices not only helped me feel better physically, but more importantly, they helped me feel more settled in my mind as well. With time, yoga gave me a new outlook on life, and also changed the way in which I wanted to help people. Having experienced first-hand the connection between mind and body, and the many benefits of yoga in general, I decided I wanted to share these practices with others.

Experience

I completed my teacher training courses in London and Oxford. Both of these courses helped deepen my practice, as well as prepare me for the exciting road of teaching that lay ahead! I began teaching in Oxford, working with adults, families and children in a variety of settings. Since then my practice has changed quite a bit, and therefore so has my teaching. What has always remained the same though is my passion for helping others find a practice that works for them as individuals. There is no ‘one size fits all’ and I always offer modifications in order to meet people where they’re at. I love seeing people move in different ways, some weeks practising everything, and other weeks choosing to rest more instead. For me, this is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching - helping people understand that they can adapt as needed, depending on how they're feeling on any given day.
